Financing Perspective
Nearly three decades in mortgage lending provides a practical understanding of documentation, loan structure, underwriting, and closing requirements.
Meet Mike Weigel
Michale “Mike” Weigel began his career in mortgage lending and later expanded into residential real estate, giving clients the benefit of experience on both sides of the transaction.
His professional story
Mike began his career in mortgage lending in the 1990s, helping clients understand purchase and refinance options through changing interest-rate environments, evolving loan programs, and many different real estate markets.
Around 2005–2006, he expanded into residential real estate. That additional experience gave him a broader understanding of how financing decisions affect the entire transaction—from early planning and property selection to contracts, appraisal, underwriting, and closing.
Today, Mike works with Nevada homebuyers, homeowners, veterans, self-employed borrowers, real estate investors, and Realtor partners. His focus remains straightforward: listen carefully, explain the options clearly, and help clients make informed decisions.
Why the background matters
Mortgage lending and residential real estate require different skills, but understanding both can lead to better questions, clearer communication, and more practical guidance.
Nearly three decades in mortgage lending provides a practical understanding of documentation, loan structure, underwriting, and closing requirements.
Residential real estate experience helps Mike understand contracts, timelines, negotiations, and the pressures buyers and Realtors face during a transaction.
Experience with investment-property financing supports conversations about DSCR loans, rental income, cash flow, and long-term portfolio goals.
Mike’s approach
Every borrower has different goals. Some clients are purchasing their first home. Others are refinancing, using VA benefits, preparing for a move, or building an investment portfolio.
Mike believes useful mortgage guidance begins with understanding the client’s priorities before discussing loan programs. The objective is not to force every borrower into the same solution. It is to identify the options that deserve consideration and explain the tradeoffs clearly.
“Whether you are buying your first home or financing another investment property, my goal is to provide straightforward guidance and responsive communication from the first conversation through closing.”
